Vintage 50s Abstract Angelfish Brooch

This is an interesting, abstract-looking brooch! It is vintage, 1950's, and it is supposed to be a fish. However, if you wear it vertically, it kind of looks like a scarf! In fact, it would be a nice pin ON a scarf! It is gold tone, with a figure 8 shape, and it's texture reminds me of tree branches. In between them, the texture is like scales, in gold, red, and deep green or aqua. It is painted enamel. I don't know how old it is, and it isn't marked.
