burttyxoxo Hello! I have a question. 🙂 I was wondering how you know when to add an extra shipping label to someone’s order when they bundle. And how you know how much more money to add extra. I’m just curious- and it seems like you have some good experience and knowledge of this type thing.

burttyxoxo @sissystuff_ I previously ran into an issue when someone bundled from my closet and then ended up having to cancel the order and split it into 2 separate orders with 2 different shipping labels that way each package didn’t weigh over 5 lbs. that was my first time running into that situation and it seemed like there must have been a better way. 😂 Thank you for your help 🩷

sissystuff_ @burtneyxoxo hi! if the label is over 5 lbs, in the help section of the order someone placed it will say to need an additional label the money is already added on! Or if you know the order is over 5lbs when someone is placing it you can tell them to add an extra shipping label to their bundle I just charge $3 for mine so people are paying the least amount because on top of the $3 they pay $8.23 from Poshmark!

sissystuff_ @burtneyxoxo oh yeah that's unfortunate! Try to never cancel an order unless it's absolutely necessary! If you run into a problem like that again with the buyer in your messages contact Poshmark and see what they recommend you do!

burttyxoxo @sissystuff_ Thx! Ya, when some1 purchased bundle from me it was 10lbs+ & when I pressed help on order it said it was going2cost me about $23 extra for increased shipping lbs & that PM would take that amount off proceeds.(on top of $8 they charged buyer) Which I didn’t want to do that. So I ended up just canceling the bundle & then re-ringing it up into 2 orders & then the buyer paid $16 shipping instead of $8 & me $23. It seemed rather complicated

sissystuff_ @burtneyxoxo yeah that's confusing definitely! It's hard to know the right thing to do in that situation in your closet make a shipping label listing for $3 like I have and if you know it'll be over 5 lbs (for example 15 lbs) add two shipping label listings to their bundle! That'll cover the shipping and you'll just box them up in 3 boxes each weighing 5lbs! 😊

burttyxoxo @sissystuff_ And then I would print out 3 labels- 1 for each box (even though they would be the same label) and then Poshmark would take the extra shipping cost out of the proceeds but it would be covered since I added on to the bundle 2 of the $3 shipping for the extra weight?

sissystuff_ @burtneyxoxo 1 more thing! I also do my packaging with more than one shipping label, I write 1/3 2/3 3/3 on each box so they know more than one is coming that helps too!

burttyxoxo @sissystuff_ so you write 1/1, 1/2, 1/3 on each individual box on the actual box itself- and you use 3 separate shipping labels 1 on each box that are the exact same labels just a copy of them, right?

sissystuff_ @burtneyxoxo depending on how many boxes you have you'll do for example if you have 3 you'll write on each individual box 1/3 (1 out of 3) 2/3, 3/3 so they know when each one comes if they come seperately!
