Then you simply get the soft cloth wet and wipe the pages clean. No need to have multiple notebooks laying around. Used only a couple of times at conferences so it is like new. The adhesive did come off of the pen holder so it has since been glued back on and there is a bit of a smudge where it has been placed, but all on the inside of the book.
