This great looking quilted jacket is a fantastic way to dress light while staying warm! It has a partial fleece lining and the outer shell fabric has a slight sheen! Curved seams keeps it form being boxy and it is washable! The only problem is one of the inside pocket zipper does not work .

nelly06 @dreamrthts I live in Chicago where we experience pretty cold winters so I would not consider this for winter wear - more late fall. Rating it for warmth I would say 4 on a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being the coldest. If you live in a mild climate area it would be great but not if you have harsh winters.

dreamrthts @nelly06 Thanks for your candor! Yeah I'm looking for something up around more like an 8. I just moved to a waayy colder climate than I'm used to (coming from 6 months of 90 deg weather!) so I have no idea what to even look for! Being an expert on cold winters, any recommendations?! :D

nelly06 @dreamrthts During a cold winter I love a faux fur lined coat - the outer shell should block the chill and if you layer scarves and swesters you should be ok - after Christmas sales should offer lots of shopping choices for you - Merry Christmas to you and your family! !!!
