The refraction of sunlight in optical calcite is gorgeous! Optical Calcite has the unique ability to split light into two separate rays, resulting in double images. This property makes it useful in optical devices for analyzing light and measuring its properties. It is also used in educational settings to demonstrate the concept of double refraction.
