You see the adorable white kitty with the brown spots? His name is Jack. Often affectionately referred to as Pirate Jack (arrrrr) (for his eye patch) or “You Big Lug!” He’s sweet, he’s loving… & he Will NOT leave my plants alone. It’s doesn’t matter what it is- fuzzy, spiky, tastes bad? No problem! I give up: he’s young, so I’ve got another 15 years before I can have plants again. heatherscottage After years of waiting and collecting, I finally have my “Vintage Adirondack” mudroom. Literally the day I decorated it for Christmas, my 3 cats disemboweled several vintage feathered birds, put holes in my vintage flocked deer, used my vintage Adirondack chair with the rattan seat as a scratching post, and had “zoomies” knocking over the carefully decorated tree. Then they moved on to the vintage 1950s Christmas display on the dinner groom table.

My man is the animal person- I mean, I’ll have one well behaved cat, dog or bird in my life, but that’s generally it. He’s got a big heart... & I don’t have any antique rugs or plants anymore. SMH I *suppose* it’s worth it when they’re all cute and purry. ;)

heatherscottage @whimsicalbeast I have to accept part of the blame, they are very spoiled 😁Certainly if 2020 has taught us anything, it is that relationships are most important, not “stuff”. My 97 year-old aunt passed of Covid last week, and it recalibrated what I value most. Things can certainly be replaced.

yankeegurl64 Aawwww... pawsitively kind of you to offer Discounted Shipping ! I think they're both cute, but I don't have to live with them ! When I moved in with my sister, she had a 6lb Diva cat called Sable. All black & just a tiny spot of white... Looks are deceiving => I was Not a cat person, but she taught me quite a bit ! She had many antics, but 1 I couldn't figure out -- she'd nose ANYTHING off of the side table between our recliners .. open drink bottle, you Name it, it went !

I'd have to yell to my sister to call her - & just the way my sis yelled it .. Sable Marie went sashaying to her mom & I closed the door. My Golden would lift his paw @ me like fist pump mom ! 🤭 You see, She would get up on my bed & bother me most times. Nose bump or meow @ 5am, so the closed sign was hung up ! She didn't do it EVERY time she came up ...

yankeegurl64 Sometimes she snuggled right into my body & went to sleep ! Having been a mom to teenage girls, I knew how to use a middle name ! & so Sable Marie was a term I fondly used when I was exasperated with her ! Oh & Litle Bit, Little Bit, Little Sh◇◇ Heehee... I would've tried to get another, but the litter box is Not My Idea of a Good Time ! & a few months later sis had emergency surgery & a stay @ a Nursing Home. She can no longer clean a litter box so I'm glad that I didn't get another one !
