Russian-Ukraine war inspired artwork. A portion of the proceeds will go to Ariel Recovery. A group of US veterans rescuing orphans from warzones. Artwork explained: In order to understand why the Russian-Ukraine war is happening, one must first understand the Russian empire's past. As observers, we can examine the Russian Coat of Arms to explain a bit of that empiric past. The crest depicts a double headed eagle, which symbolizes material, as well as, spiritual power. The Eagle grasps a sword and laural wreath in it's claws. These items represent a zealous military and achievement. Next we should examine the three crowns - representing the sovereignty of it's federation. In summation - the Coat of Arms details the Russian belief that they are to be the most powerful country in the world, and will achieve this supremacy by any means necessary, under the protection of God. Also depicted on the escutcheon (shield), is St. George, a patron saint of Russia, slaying a zilant (dragon). Mythology tells the typical tale of a George as a valiant knight who saves the villagers from a dragon that lived by a lake and attacked villagers trying to access water. The real reason it's on the Coat of Arms is because of another war won by Russia. They fought the Kazans from 1439-1552. The Kazans coat of arms depicts a Zilant. The Russians waged war for, you guessed it, a water source. The Russians attacked for the same reasons now - to obtain Ukraine resources. MORE TO EXPLAIN. JUST ASK.
