pleated maxi skirt in 100% silk by Spiegel. the elastic was shot so I replaced it. size small, but very flowy so can fit xs- m. excellent condition. please check out my closet and save on a bundle!

jdecor @kbluhm ok thank you. Also, you replaced the waist band but it looks like there used to be 2 rows of stitches on the waist band kind of like shirring. I’m wondering if it doesn’t have the stitching if the inner elastic will twist over time because stitching isn’t holding it flat anymore?

kbluhm @jdecor hi, it is currently 24" unstretched and yes it does look like it was previously triple stitched. i can't imagine how I would have been able to get the old elastic out though with all that. I assume this is a vintage piece even though you wouldn't know it from the skirt condition. Yes there is a chance the elastic will twist up, I'm not a professional seamstress ( although I cannot even see where I got into this waistband so I didn't do too bad a job 😂)
