yesterday, we packed up all our animals and evacuated our home in Ojai due to the Thomas Fire that has wiped out over 50,000 acres of our struggling, but always beautiful Earth. as of this morning, the fire is at 0% containment. I don’t know if I’ll have a home to go back to but there are many others who already know they won’t. please keep these people close to your heart in these challenging moments and pray for California. as for those affected by this as well - stay strong, friends. x

ojaica @mskeeks Of course! That was the only thing on my Facebook page since this all started. It was crazy only seeing Ojai news. I’m so glad you are safe! Yes, I saw this morning that there are no fires in Ojai right now, but the air quality is horrible. I’ve been on the phone and on Facebook talking with friends 24/7. Watching my little town burn has been so personal and heartbreaking to me! I’d love to meet you the next time I’m in town! Are you on Facebook?

mskeeks @ojaica hi lovely. I don’t have a FB, just an instagram. The mandatory evacuation was lifted and we returned home yesterday. Luckily our home is still standing but there are still active fires right down the street down by the riverbed 😔
